Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Use communication and basic technology skills to support access control and badge processes while working collaboratively with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, supporting controlled entry for employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
