About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public agencies, and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminal areas, public spaces, restricted areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify entry authorization for employees, vendors, and/or visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and assist with directing people during disruptions, evacuations, or other operational events.
