About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading docks, freight handling areas, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver activity, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Observe conditions throughout the location and report security-related concerns, damaged access points, or unusual activity according to site procedures.
