About The Position

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of prior security experience required
Previous security experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Able to work flexible hours, including some night and weekends
Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response required
Have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and appropriate insurance
Strong observation and attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Sound judgement and decision-making abilities
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.
May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.
May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, offensive odors, and hazardous materials.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

Establishing and maintaining relationships with business and residential neighbors.
Patrol assigned areas on foot or, when necessary, by vehicle to ensure safety and security
Monitor surveillance systems and alarms
Control access to the facility by verifying identification and managing entry points
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
Complete the site security checklist daily
Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and clients as needed
Enforce rules, regulations, and company policies
Document and report observed suspicious activities or security breaches
Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance by safeguarding the facilities and taking appropriate steps to preserve a secure and respectful environment.
