As a Security Guard - Full Time - Hospital in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to routine security-related needs with integrity. Requirements
- Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to restrain individuals, as needed.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and support a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate with hospital staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
