Security Guard
About The Position
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring that location Post Orders are completed daily, monitoring plant activity, and performing hourly rounds. This includes checking trailer and room temperatures, and gates. The role also involves monitoring all associates entering and exiting the building, including vehicle traffic, operating weight master scales for trailers, and answering the switchboard after hours. Additional duties include billing loads, implementing company policies, operating company-owned vehicles, inspecting trailers for cleanliness and operability, and receiving shipments of supplies and raw materials.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak in English
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and up/down stairs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude
- Ability to work any shift
- Minimum High School diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Strong computer skills preferred
- Security experience a plus
Responsibilities
