About The Position

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and facilities during non-business hours including evenings, overnights, and weekends. This role involves patrolling the premises, enforcing site policies, and responding to emergencies or incidents as they arise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong observational and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and monitoring systems.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings, grounds, and parking areas to detect and prevent signs of intrusion, vandalism, or other suspicious activity.
• Ensure all gates, doors, and access points are secured during appropriate hours.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or other incidents.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily shift logs.
• Perform vehicle and foot patrols at scheduled intervals.
• Enforce company policies and site-specific rules to ensure safety and order.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and external emergency responders when needed.
