As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and assisting visitors and staff. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, visitor check-in, credential presentation, and restricted-area access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs, visitor records, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and designated interior and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
