Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site rules.
Support staff, visitors, and the public with directions, information, and other security-related assistance while maintaining awareness of changing conditions at the location.
