About The Position
GardaWorld is hosting a Job Fair Hiring Event in Corner Brook, NL to recruit Full-Time, Part-Time, and Casual Security Guards as well as Loss Prevention Officers. As a Security Guard, duties may vary depending on the site and assignment, including customer service, patrols, access control, surveillance, and incident response.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (required)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in changing environments
- Professional attitude and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Nice To Haves
- First Aid certification considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises to maintain safety and security
- Conduct regular patrols and report suspicious activity
- Control access points and verify identification
- Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or alarms
- Provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety
- Prepare accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Coordinate with emergency services when required
