About The Position
JBS is seeking a salary non-exempt Security Guard for its Value Added Plant in Greeley, CO. This position involves monitoring plant activity, conducting hourly rounds, managing associate and vehicle access, operating scales, handling after-hours calls, and billing loads. The role requires adherence to company policies, operating company vehicles, inspecting trailers, receiving shipments, and performing duties independently. The Security Guard will also be responsible for understanding and promoting safety standards.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the US
- 18 years of age or more
- Ability to work fulltime M-S ; Weekends and overtime as needed as well as flexibility to rotate shifts as needed
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Requires ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional attitude with all personnel
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced setting
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Requires ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying terrain, in all weather conditions as well as up and down stairs
- Ability to conduct repetitive motion
- Drug, alcohol, and background check required post-offer and prior to the start of employment.
- Verification of employment eligibility must be documented for all new employees by the end of the third day of work.
Nice To Haves

- Computer skills preferred
- Experience with SAP systems, Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Security experience is preferred
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor plant activity.
- Hourly rounds (checking trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gates).
- Monitor all associates entering and exiting the building including vehicle traffic
- Weight master scales, weighing trailers in and out
- Answering switchboard after hours
- Billing loads
- Follow and implement company policies
- Operate company owned vehicles
- Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability
- Receive shipments of supplies and raw material
- Understand and promote safety standards
- Perform assigned duties without direct supervision
- Other duties assigned
