Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is currently seeking a Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you’ll be the first line of defense in protecting our guests, team members, property, and assets. You will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment while responding quickly to incidents and ensuring all safety and security procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • One (1) or more years of recent and related security experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Analytical thinking and sound judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Professionalism in high-pressure situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Valid AGLC Security License (must be obtained prior to hire)
  • Standard First Aid Level C with AED
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

  • Gaming-related experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, secure, and positive environment throughout the casino and racetrack
  • Monitor and escort cash and chip transfers in accordance with AGLC and casino policies
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical, security, and safety incidents
  • Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and complete accurate documentation and reports
  • Conduct preventative patrols and monitor activities to identify and reduce risks
  • Work collaboratively with AGLC inspectors and comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide professional, friendly, and courteous assistance to guests and team members
  • Use radios and reporting systems to coordinate responses and communicate effectively with the team
  • Remain alert, exercise sound judgment, and follow established procedures
  • Support supervisors and colleagues while contributing to a respectful and professional workplace
