About The Position

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets. This position involves monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid state security guard license or certification (if applicable).
Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to remain calm and handle emergencies effectively.
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
Basic computer and report-writing skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned premises on foot or by vehicle.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure safety and security.
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers if necessary.
Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
Write detailed incident and daily activity reports.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
Control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
Assist visitors, employees, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Follow company security and safety protocols at all times.
