About The Position

This role is for a Surveillance Security Guard in a financial institution. The primary focus is on observation and attention to detail, spotting threats before they escalate. The guard will work in environments such as security operation centers, call centers, construction sites, parking lots, and gatehouses. The schedule is Fridays from 08:30 to 18:30 and Saturdays from 08:30 to 16:30. This position offers an hourly wage of $18.83.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid security license
First aid certification required
Strong report writing skills
Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
Strong proficiency with technology
Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

Responsibilities

De-escalate situations professionally and maintain positive, respectful interactions.
Respond promptly to elevated voices, incidents, and potential security threats.
Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and other security systems for suspicious activity or concerns.
Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols, including parking lots.
Maintain a visible and alert presence to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity.
Monitor and control access to secure areas and verify visitor identification.
Identify and report security system issues, vulnerabilities, or malfunctions.
Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed incident and activity reports.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and work with law enforcement when required.
