Security Guard 3rd Shift
About The Position
This position monitors plant activity, including conducting hourly rounds to check trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gates. The Security Guard will also monitor all associates entering and exiting the building, including vehicle traffic, and operate weight master scales for weighing trailers. Responsibilities include answering the switchboard after hours, billing loads, and ensuring adherence to company policies. The role also involves operating company-owned vehicles, inspecting trailers for cleanliness and operability, and receiving shipments of supplies and raw materials.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write and speak in English
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/down stairs
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively under stress
- Attention to detail
- Professional attitude
- Ability to work any shift
- Minimum High School diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Strong computer skills preferred
- Security experience a plus
