About The Position
Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Security Guard to operate the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID. This role is responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disasters, in compliance with government and management directives. MTC values professional and caring employees dedicated to improving people's lives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or completion of a security training program.
- One year of security experience.
- Experience with youth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a security training program is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
- Maintain logs, incident reports, and conduct investigations.
- Perform parking and traffic control.
- Assist in transporting students, and reporting and suppressing fires.
- Assist senior security officer and manager in coordinating and instituting programs that foster student retention.
- Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.
