As a Security Guard Food Hall/Shopping Center Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to visitors, tenants, and staff. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
