Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe site conditions, documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations in required reports.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with directions, information, and/or general concerns from authorized personnel and visitors.
