About The Position
The Security Guard plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing a strong, visible presence throughout the community. This position helps deter unauthorized activity and supports residents and visitors by promoting compliance with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Exhibit a strong positive attitude towards customer service with a genuine interest in geriatric care, upholding the philosophy of our community.
- Ability to stand and walk short and long distances for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and/or carrying objects exceeding 50 pounds and pushing 200 pounds on a cart with casters.
- Must be able to reach above, below, and at shoulder level.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, checking entrances, exits, and for any safety hazards.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and ensure all safety systems (e.g., lights) are functioning.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter prohibited behavior.
- Assist residents and visitors in following community safety rules and procedures.
