Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen visitors, packages, bags, and other authorized items in accordance with established access-control procedures and applicable site requirements.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorizations; direct individuals to appropriate entry points or departments while maintaining professional communication.
  • Monitor screening equipment and access points, report prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, and document incidents as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
