About The Position

Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard? What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths. As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as Government Buildings, Sports Facilities, Retail Environments, Secure Facilities, etc.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification
• Minimum 1 year of security guard experience
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
• Able to pass an Advanced Use of Force Training Course
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Community outreach with vulnerable populations
• Enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act
