Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of experience within a customer service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships
  • Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way
  • Ability to accurately enter data on a handheld device or computer
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Requires computer data entry skills
  • Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
  • Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
  • Requires standing for extended periods
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Secure all gates and buildings and patrol the premises.
  • Sound alarms and notify authorities in case of emergency.
  • Verify only authorized individuals enter the property.
  • Provide facility directions to customers, vendors and transporters.
  • Check gate passes to ensure vehicles are authorized to exit property.
  • Check departing vehicles to guard against theft of company property.
  • Greet customers at the gate and provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
  • De-escalate difficult situations to ensure positive partner outcomes and collaboration.
  • Input vehicle information including VIN number, miles, owner identification, vehicle options, repair orders, and other pertinent information using a handheld device.
  • Verify the VIN number being entered matches the VIN number on the shipper’s Bill of Lading.
  • Watch and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and doors left unsecured.
  • Account for and identify all keys, codes, or other safety and security information.
  • Maintain a current list of emergency and management telephone numbers.
  • Maintain good operating condition of all equipment and facilities, including handheld devices and printers.
  • Notify management of all breakdowns and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment.
  • Practice and promote teamwork continuously.
  • Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
  • Maintain good communication flow with all auction team members and leaders.
