As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public school location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and communicate with staff, students, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting school administrators and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify authorized access, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through accurate reports and timely communication with appropriate personnel.
