About The Position

As a Security Guard for Cemetery Patrol in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a cultural institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols in a respectful, compassionate manner.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations calmly, using sound judgment and established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
