As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, support security-related operations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitors and vendors, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at entry and exit points; communicate access requirements and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
