As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a university location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will support a caring, people-first culture, acting with integrity while working as an agile, reliable teammate.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or policy violations, and coordinate with campus resources as directed.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unauthorized entry, propping doors, and/or other concerns, reporting issues promptly per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate status updates using radios, phones, and/or other approved systems.
