Security Guard - Utilities Driving Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Utilities Driving Patrol in Chico, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service at a utilities location. This is a driving post, requiring you to conduct routine patrols in assigned areas while remaining visible to support a secure environment. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at utility locations, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and security-related protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
- Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address client needs and uphold security-related standards.
- Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor for any suspicious activity within the utility location.
