As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide exceptional customer service while managing access points. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering or leaving the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or suspicious activities according to company and client procedures.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site management or emergency personnel.
