As a Security Officer - Badge Checkpoint in Mesa, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned technology-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence, routine patrols, and professional communication will contribute to a secure environment for clients and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and granting or denying entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the location.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting individuals with security-related questions or concerns.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to the appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
Monitor security-related systems, such as surveillance cameras and alarms, and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
Participate in emergency response activities when required, following established procedures and collaborating with Allied Universal team members and client contacts.
Complete accurate and timely reports of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
