About The Position

As a Security Guard - University Patrol Driver in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication, contributing to a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter prohibited items or activities within the premises.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Work closely with school administration and local authorities when necessary to support a secure environment.
  • Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and information while maintaining a visible presence on the premises.
