As a Security Guard Unarmed - Government Facility in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a county government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns. In this role, you will support access activity, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and work as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting details according to site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe conditions that may require attention.
