Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have DC SO License

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, badge and access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor logs, and assist with controlling access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Support daily operations by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of changing site conditions, and following Allied Universal post orders and security-related procedures.
