As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a public parks and recreation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors with professionalism. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and community members at public parks and recreation locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of park grounds, trails, parking areas, buildings, recreational facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned locations, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate clearly with site contacts, visitors, and responding public-service personnel as needed.
