As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will interact with shoppers and store teams, respond to concerns, and document observations with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset every shift.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Guard Card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, assisting with access control and/or queue management as needed.
Complete routine reports and activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support loss prevention efforts by reporting suspected theft and/or disruptive behavior.
