About The Position

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, lobbies, loading areas, and other assigned locations to help support authorized entry, visitor processing, and adherence to property rules and posted requirements.
• Document incidents, daily activities, and unusual conditions in written reports, and communicate relevant updates with tenants, contractors, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
