As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Site Observation in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Help maintain a professional, welcoming presence while supporting the protection of property, information, and personnel in a dynamic technology and media environment.
