Requirements

• A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials where required, and support visitor management processes for employees, guests, and/or vendors.
• Assist with communications during maintenance issues, operational disruptions, and/or emergency events, while following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific instructions.
