Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the medical location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter grounds, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing people to appropriate departments and/or resources when needed.
• Assist with de-escalation support and other security-related duties in areas that may involve patient and visitor interaction, while maintaining professionalism and clear communication.
