As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, agility, and care.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of municipal buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, documenting incidents, patrols, and relevant observations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly public-facing environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
