As a Security Guard Unarmed - General Duty in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support access activity with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and/or the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support security-related operations at a manufacturing and industrial location by observing equipment areas, loading and shipping zones, and/or restricted spaces for policy compliance and operational concerns.
