As a Security Guard Transit Platform PatrolS in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transit location. Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to passengers, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate transit personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, bus stops, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, passenger areas, and assigned transit property for unusual conditions, unauthorized entry, hazards, and/or policy violations, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with transit personnel, riders, and law enforcement representatives.
