About The Position

As a Security Guard - Transit Center in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol public transit locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for riders, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, transit policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic flow, and directions while maintaining a professional presence at assigned transit locations.
