About The Position

As a Security Guard - Security Monitoring Officer in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assist with access control procedures, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed during security-related events.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders related to patient privacy, visitor management, and after-hours activity.
