Job Description As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Santa Fe, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will play a key role in supporting a secure environment. This position requires driving as part of your regular duties, offering a dynamic and engaging workday.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive experience for patrons.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as required by site policy.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations while on duty.
Assist with crowd management and/or customer flow during busy periods or special events at the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site staff, and visitors as needed.
