Job Description As a Security Guard - Retail Floor Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and high visibility. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with customer service is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to management and/or local authorities as directed.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Support a welcoming environment for guests and employees while upholding security-related standards.
