Job Description As a Security Guard - Retail Perimeter Patrol in Playa Vista, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout the area. You will interact with visitors and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the business interior and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as required.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents.
- Support emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols, including assisting with evacuations or providing directions to visitors during critical situations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
