As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. You will use communication skills and technology to support daily operations, working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor access authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related activities.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to designated personnel in accordance with site procedures.
