Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues through established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, stairwells, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe building activity to help to deter trespassing, unauthorized entry, and/or policy violations while supporting daily operations at the location.
  • Communicate with property management, tenants, visitors, and first responders as needed regarding security-related concerns, incidents, and/or requests for assistance.
