As a Security Guard Patrol Response Specialist in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report observed conditions according to site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when needed regarding security-related matters.
  • Support retail operations by documenting daily activities, assisting with crowd and line management, and addressing routine customer service requests in a professional manner.
