About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol Officer in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset to each shift.

Requirements

  • Security-related experience of at least 6 months is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe lobby and exterior activity, and assist with visitor directions, after-hours entry procedures, and other property-related requests in accordance with post instructions.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes and/or when issues arise on site.
